Leaving Hven late afternoon, paddle through the channel with several large ships heading north as the sun quickly sinking in the west. In the wake of the ships is big nice surf and when the bow appears just below the surface, salt spray is delivered in my face. Then it becomes almost completely quiet again.
In the middle of the sea, the sun sets behind the horizon, the wind is almost non-existent and I slowly glide into the harbor entrance where the lanterns are lit. Slowly and silently I paddle in the increasing darkness, where scents and sounds of the night is enhanced.
